Waxing (using either pure, cleaner or restorer)

Suitable for gel coat that is in good condition through to having light to moderate oxidation.

For boats which are in relatively good condition with little to no oxidation we use a pure wax   applied by hand or machine depending on the condition. If there is light to moderate oxidation then we either skilfully apply cleaner or restorer wax (which contain varying degrees of polishing compound) with a machine buff which will remove the oxidation and bring the shine right back. For the absolute optimum protection and shine we suggest an additional (optional) coat of wax.

This service includes a thorough wash down and deck clean before and after waxing as well as removal of rust stains (most can be removed), windows and fenders are cleaned. For quotes on any additional detailing please mark as required in online quote request page.

Compounding polishing

Suitable for gel coat with has moderate to heavy oxidation.

We use a selected compound polish, from rubbing through to heavy cut grades depending on the level of oxidation.
After we compound polish with a machine buff we apply a separate wax coat, again using a machine buff.
For the optimum in protection and shine we suggest an additional (optional) coat of wax.
The compounding polishing service includes a thorough wash down and deck clean before and after the compounding process as well as removal of rust stains (if it can be removed), windows and fenders are cleaned.

Coloured 2pac painted or Gel Coat surfaces with extreme oxidation restored

From time to time we come across vessels with very heavily oxidised colour sections where there is virtually no colour remaining just an ugly white ingrained haze.
The good news is we can restore this back to as good as new without the expense of repainting.

How often should I wax my boat?

If you keep up with waxing your boat, you will rarely need to compound polish, we recommend waxing two to three times per year and washing down once a month as well as after use. The fact is there are no wax products or sealers that last much longer than a few months in normal conditions.
The sun, salt air, water and dirt all break down these products rapidly, and since gel coat is porous...all of this means you have to continually keep cleaning and waxing to slow the oxidation.

The more often you clean your boat i.e. washing and waxing, the longer and better the shine will last. Sounds easy right? With all that has been said it really comes down to how much time, money and effort you want to put into keeping your boat protected and looking good. From our experience clean and shiny boats are far more inviting for you to use and when it comes time to selling your boat, a well maintained boat will sell for a far greater price than a neglected or shabby looking boat.

Wash Down & Tidy - with wash and wax boat soap

• Your boat will always be sparkling clean and fresh whenever you use her, we’re sure you’ll feel like using the boat more!
• Regular WASH DOWN and TIDY will extend the life of your polish and wax

When you use Pro-Care Marine we have no locked-in fixed contract terms.
We do however suggest scheduling a wash down & tidy once a month - how about trying it and seeing how it goes from there?

The wash down & tidy includes:

• Washing down entire exterior with Chemtech™ CT18 boat wash and wax
  - Chemtech™ CT18 is a product that gently washes your boat without reducing the existing wax as will happen with regular boat soaps
  We use ultra soft boat detailing brooms and sponges, we don't believe a wash down is just waving a gerni around
• At water line brown moustache scum removed
• Non-skid decks cleaned with Starbrite™ non-skid deck cleaner
• Scuff marks and rust stains removed
• Windows and Clears cleaned and polished using Plexus™
• Cockpit area (sports vessels) or interiors of fly bridge (fly bridge vessels) carpets vacuumed and console dash, walls, table and seating cleaned
• Stainless steel wiped over and stains removed

If you decide to have the wash down & tidy done monthly we will take 20% off subsequent visits.
